Kinder is a 25-meter range which can be used for military zeroing, qualification, and weapon familiarization. When military training is not being conducted, it can be used for firing Privately Owned Weapons (POW).
Due to a non-standard range impact area (you will be shooting into the side of an 85-foot high cliff), there are several safety considerations that make it more restricted than normal 300-meter ranges. For this reason, individuals that run Kinder Range for military training and every individual that fires must attend a Range Certification Course given by the Range Manager.
Range certification for military use of Kinder Range is conducted every Thursday at 1500.
Only Officers in Charge and Range Safety Officers need to attend.
Reservations are required. To request a reservation, call or email.
To fire your POW on Kinder Range you need to ask for the POW briefing at the time of reservations.
Testing is conducted every week on Tuesday from 1130 - 1300.
Reservations are required at least one week in advance. To request a reservation, call or email.
